Neighbourhood Voices are a choir of 50+ women meeting on Tuesday evenings 7.30-9pm and sing predominantly pop and indie/alternative songs, the majority of which are arranged in house. We have sung live on BBC 6Music, live on ITV Calendar, live on Radio Sheffield and perform regularly at a variety of events across Sheffield. Our waiting list is currently approximately 35-40 people long and continually growing. We have created a nurturing community where socialising is important, but also push one another to develop and grow with challenging repertoire and an array of professional singing opportunities. We are always looking to develop, collaborate and to create a positive reputation for the choir in the city and beyond.

Neighbourhood Voices are seeking an enthusiastic, creative and confident assistant musical director. We are open to hearing from professionals of all levels and experience, though feel this position would suit a confident 2nd or 3rd year student/recent graduate or a person who has worked with classical/choral choirs and would like to broaden their MD skills. We hope this position will give the opportunity to learn, gain experience and grow personal and professional networks. Women and POC are particularly welcome to apply to address imbalance in the industry.
